Financial Engineering and Loss Reserving Core Principles offer you an in-depth insight into the principles of modelling in applied actuarial work. It focuses particularly on stochastic asset-liability models and the valuation of financial derivatives. These skills are essential to communicate with other professionals of the financial sector, as well as to evaluate the latest financial theories to the fullest.
Learning
We have divided the course materials for a total of 300 hours of learning. You will receive 150 hours of recorded online classes and lectures and will require another 150 hours to complete assignments, solve subject-wise questions, prepare and sit for mock tests, etc. You will also study and solve assignments and case studies for Excel-based modelling assignment.
On successful completion of this course, you will learn how to describe, interpret, and discuss the theories regarding the behaviours of financial markets. You will also learn about the advantage and disadvantage of different measures of investment risk.
CM2 includes the basics regarding the concepts required to describe, construct, interpret, and discuss the models underlying asset and liability valuations. Option pricing is also included under its courses.
